Weekend Update

So this weekend we had Anna cause her mom had a cold......

On Saturday Anna was invited to Alyssa's 4th birthday party. It was great to be able to get her out with some new friends and new people. She had a blast and always seems to have fun playing with Alyssa. It's funny at times you'd assume they were sisters with how similar they can be.

After the birthday party, the station had an outing to Whirly Ball in Novi. For those who haven't ever played it is a blast!! I hadn't played in prolly 10 years and I wish we dind't have to leave. However let me tell ya I am bruised and battered today.. I took a couple really good shots in the car that seemed to have taken their toll on me. Both of my hips are multicolored and sore as hell.

Now back to work today and tomorrow, then off for my normal two days. The last few weeks I have had so many different things going on that I have yet to work a full 5 day work week all month. I don't wanna go back to a 5 day work week, I like not working.. :)

September's Almost Over...

So it has been an interesting month for me I would have to say. Started off with having to make some decisions bout my life and what roads I wanted to travel, to dropping off Anna at her first day of pre-school.

So far I haven't really made a decision regarding the Fire Department, I am still on the fence on what to do. I've made a few calls here and there but haven't shown up to our Tuesday night "training". I say training loosely because it has been nothing but a joke. Our leadership is terrible and morale is at an all time low. For those who have known me long enough know that I live and breath this shit, and for me to consider walking away is a HUGE deal. So while I still think about what to do.. Please send me your prayers for the right answer. :)

On the Anna front, she is doing well in school so far. No phone calls from teachers or teachers asking me to stay after to talk about somethings.. :) She's made a few friends and seems to be enjoying herself. I will tell you, I don't know what it is but I feel so out of place there with all the other parents. I almost feel like I'm too young to be there. it is weird. There is another mom that is same age as me and we both feel the same way. So its kinda cool, and shes fun to talk to and shoot the shit with. It's amazing how much stuff we have in common regarding our ex's.

Other than that not a whole lot new. Anna and I are going to a birthday party for one of my friends daughters on Saturday. Then I have Whirly Ball with the fire station Sat night. It's been ages since I've gone.. So should end up as a good time.

Sadly Tigers lost the game 5-0. It was Anna's first loss this season. We had gone 7-0, but ended up 7-1. Better luck next year!

1st week of school

So this week was Anna's first day/ week of school. Below are some pics from the highlights of her week. I had the wonderful joys of being able to share it with her. I took the day off work Monday so I could be there for her on her first day! Anna did amazing and sadly enough did so well that she's replaced me.. lol. On her second day of school (tuesday) which was her first "solo" day, she pretty much told me to get lost.. We go in the class room, find her name tag and put it on her. After I put it on, I talk to her about listening to the teacher, and where to go if she needs to go potty. After the potty question, she goes "Daddy you can go now." Talk bout a crushing blow.. Then Wednesday when we got there she found one of her new friends.. Went off with her and they went in the class without even saying goodbye to me. Gotta love it.. :) Anyways we are going to Troy Daze Sunday to ride the rides and have some fun. So if you want to come hang with us let me know. At this point it's just Anna and me.

Ok.. So this is my last week before my lil baby starts school. :(

Good thing is I'll be able to take her to her first day of school and spend more time with her! I've got some time off from work to spend more time with her. Gonna be weird though having her all the time. First time since she lived with me all the time.. :'(

Other than that not a whole lot new with Anna and I. Mainly I've just been coming to a realization that I have to make a decision about something that has been very important part of my life for the last 12 years. I never imagined having this discussion in my head or even thinking it. So if I am short with anyone in the new few weeks.. My apologies..
